What to know about U.S. Bank statements
One e-statement per account
If your paper statement combined several accounts, e-statements split them: a separate statement for each checking, savings or money market account. That suits conversion well, because each file is one account with its own opening and closing balances to check the rows against.
Years from before you went paperless
If you need periods older than your e-statements, you may be working from paper. Scan each statement and upload it. Faint print or a skewed page can throw off a column, so the balance comparison is the part to look at closely.
Rewards credits on card statements
On a U.S. Bank credit card statement, a rewards redemption shows up as a credit, pointing the same way as a payment. Give it its own category when importing; otherwise your payment totals will be overstated.
Business accounts and QuickBooks
U.S. Bank business customers can export transactions from online banking into QuickBooks. That covers recent activity. When you need periods the export doesn't reach, convert the statements and upload the QuickBooks-ready CSV instead.
