    • Sign in to Scotiabank online banking.
    • In the Account section of the side navigation menu, select Statements (in classic online banking, select your bank account, then Documents).
    • Download the statement as a PDF.
    • Save the statement for the period you need as a PDF.

What to know about Scotiabank statements

e-Transfer recipients on a continuation line

An Interac e-Transfer entry often puts the recipient's name on the line under the amount. Copy-paste separates the two and you lose track of who was paid. The converter attaches that line to the transfer's description, so name and amount stay in one row.

History download: online banking only

Scotiabank's transaction history download works when you sign in to online banking and select the account, not in the app. It's a good source for recent activity. For a specific statement period, or months beyond what the history covers, the statement PDF is the record to convert.

Not every savings account is monthly

All Scotiabank chequing accounts issue monthly statements, but not every savings account does; the MomentumPLUS Savings Account is one exception. Longer gaps between savings statements can be normal. The period check works from the dates each statement covers, so a genuine gap still stands out.

Rewards summaries on card statements

If a credit card statement includes a Scene+ points summary, those figures are points, not dollars. They're kept out of the transaction rows, so they can't inflate your totals or break the balance check.

Scotiabank statement questions

Can I convert statements for a Scotiabank business account?
Yes. Business accounts issue monthly statements, but if you use ScotiaConnect, statements are online for up to two years only, so save them as they arrive. They convert into one signed amount column with full dates, and each statement is balance-checked.
How far back can I get credit card eStatements?
Up to seven years, counted from when you switched to eStatements. Earlier card statements would be paper; scan them and upload the scans with the rest. The rows on each statement are compared with its balances, so a misread figure shows up as a mismatch on that statement.
Can I import converted Scotiabank rows into QuickBooks or Xero?
Yes. Review the rows, then export a QuickBooks or Xero CSV.
