How to get your Mizuho Bank statement into Excel

  1. Download the PDF statement from Mizuho Bank online banking

    • Log in to Mizuho Direct (みずほダイレクト) on a PC, or log in to the Mizuho Bank app.
    • On a PC choose 「みずほe-口座・ダイレクト通帳」 under 「確認する」 at the top and open 「みずほダイレクト通帳明細照会」 (in the app: 「お客さまメニュー」 > 「みずほe-口座・ダイレクト通帳の申込」); pick the account in 「照会口座の指定」 and the period in 「ご照会期間の選択」.
    • Choose 「PDFダウンロード」, or 「CSVダウンロード」 on a PC. The last three months are not in the Direct passbook: tap the 「入出金明細照会」 message, pick the account, and use the 「ダウンロード」 button left of the statement title.
    • Save the statement for the period you need as a PDF.
Go to Mizuho Bank Online Banking
  2. Upload it here

Drop the PDF into the uploader on this page. Scanned statements and phone photos work too. The extracted rows open next to the statement so you can check them.

  3. Download Excel, CSV, or QuickBooks and Xero CSV

Export the rows as an Excel workbook, a plain CSV file, or a CSV laid out for QuickBooks or Xero import.

Why Mizuho Bank PDF Statements Won't Copy to Excel

The Mizuho Direct passbook has no running balance per transaction, so a pasted table cannot be checked against opening and closing balances row by row; the date, description, withdrawal, and deposit columns are extracted and reviewed against the period balances instead.

Mizuho Bank PDF to Excel: Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about bank statement PDF conversion

Why does copy-paste from Mizuho Bank PDF mess up my Excel spreadsheet?
The Mizuho Direct passbook has no running balance per transaction, so a pasted table cannot be checked against opening and closing balances row by row; the date, description, withdrawal, and deposit columns are extracted and reviewed against the period balances instead.
Can I download CSV directly from Mizuho Bank instead?
Yes, on a PC: Mizuho Direct offers 「CSVダウンロード」 for Direct passbook and recent transaction history. On a smartphone or in the app the download is a PDF, so convert that PDF here and review the rows before importing them.
Can I import the extracted rows into QuickBooks or Xero?
Yes. Export reviewed transaction rows as Excel, CSV, structured JSON, QuickBooks-friendly CSV, or Xero-friendly CSV. Check fields against the source statement and use saved mappings to review duplicate, overlapping, or missing periods before importing recurring batches.
Does this work with scanned or photographed bank statements?
Yes. Our OCR reads both digital PDFs and scanned images. Upload a clear scan or phone photo (PDF, JPG, PNG), then review the extracted transactions before exporting.
Is it safe to upload my bank statement? What happens to my data?
Uploads use HTTPS and remain available only through your authenticated private workspace so you can review and export them. Privacy, retention, and deletion details are linked in the footer.
